Dear all, I have a small, but very important (to myself and my hubby Simon) prayer request......

Please could you pray for my husband (Simon) and I, as we are aiming to go back to church this Sunday. We haven't been able to get to our church (despite living 5 minutes away) for the past 6 months, as I have been confined to bed on and off due to chronic pain and spinal problems. Simon, has also been very unwell and is recovering from a blot clot on the lungs and a persistent, and very annoying cough, that leaves him breathless and feeling very sick.

Each time we have attempted to go back, our attempts have been thwarted by relapses, wheelchair malfunctions etc..  we really do need covering in prayer.

Please pray that my pain remains under control, my wheelchair moves smoothly over  the dodgy paving we have around here, so I'm not bounced around too much. Please pray that Simon's cough is under control, that he doesn't become too breathless pushing my wheelchair. Please also pray that if Simon's cough does start, that he is able to exit the service without too much commotion and is able to bring the cough back under control, so that we do not have to leave before the end.

Thank you my dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

Praying with you, Sue.

Thank you Lynda xx

Dearest Susan, I read your comment that you did not make it to church yesterday.  I have asked our Lord to bless you both and ensure that you are both safe and well enough to go to church again as soon as you are both able. xx

The Poor Orphan Child

I was reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, this poem is just before Jane goes to Lowood House, the orphanage in the story. It reminded me of Psalm 27 verse 10: When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. My feet they…

Food for thought...

Autistic daughter (Biology graduate) to Mum:  "Mum, will there be sea creatures in Heaven?"Knowledgeable (well, thinks she is) Mum: Well, it does say in the Bible (Rev 21:1 - courtesy Google) that there will be no more sea...Daughter: "Oh, that won't be a problem, they'll just swim through the air."I thought it appropriate not to argue!See More
