Thank you so much, It ended up a strange Birthday because a very dear elderly friend of mine passed away and I promised to be with her at the end. So, the day was spent with someone who was very close to God. She died peacefully in the end just after my Birthday at 3am. It was all very surreal, but I fulfilled my promise. Hopefully there will be plenty more Birthdays to come.
The Lord has been amazingly generous to my husband and I over the past 2 weeks. He has answered so many prayers and affirmed us through church family as to the ministry we are falling headlong into and loving - Prayer, Prayer, Prayer and more Prayer.
At first I thought the Lord was having a laugh at my expense because I found prayer hard - praying for friends, church & family was easy, BUT Intercessory prayer - I really couldn't get into. I just didn't know where to start or how to pray for people I didn't know, or situations that were difficult for me to even comprehend! - All this was beginning to take shape about a month or so ago.
2 weeks ago, I suddenly realised I have been praying on a completely different level, and now I love Intercessory prayer - it's such a privilege! God loves to share with us what is on His heart and he wants us all to pray in accordance with His will and not our own.
I have such joy in my heart, and an overwhelming love for people. Peace has been like "a river" as the song goes even though both Simon's health and mine has appeared to worsen at times or just not improve at all. Whatever the enemy throws at us, He CAN NOT and WILL NOT divert our attention away from our first love - the Lord Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. Amen xx
Well yesterday was not a great day - didn't make it to church, poor Simon (my hubby) was up all Saturday night coughing and retching. This dreadful cough is really taking so much out of him. Even today Si is still fairly breathless and so tired.
Lord, we await Your healing, Your complete and total healing for Simon. Revive Him Lord, as he waits upon You, renew his strength, and fill both he and I with Your peace. Thank you for being in control of ALL things. Lord, give me Your strength to care for Simon. Help me to manage without Simon needing to care for me too much today. AMEN.
Father, You are God-Eternal, the Holy One, Ever-lasting, Steadfast in love and faithfulness. We lift Your name, O Lord, the Name above all names, Jesus Christ. We love you.
