Forgot to add, I got a ticking off for taking pix inside the Royal Exchange shopping centre - though there are no signs anywhere telling you photography is forbidden and it is very photogenic.
The security guard who accosted me couldn't tell me why it wasn't allowed but Peter explained that there had been a major jewellery heist there earlier this year.
Obviously the security guard thought the 16 of us looked like a very dangerous gang, what with that man in black in the dog collar, me with my camera and Tony Enskat with a black hat pulled down like a terrorist's balaclava!
Thank goodness our own dear St Nicholas wasn't with us. Remember him being a huge security risk last Christmas when he was trying to deliver gifts to refugee children?

Pictures from the Walbrooks Art Group's tour of City architecture, led by Peter Delaney, on Wednesday 8 December. We saw a fascinating mix of periods and styles.
Some of us went on to the Mercers' Company public sermon and reception after the tour so there are also some photos of the Mercers' Chapel and their beautiful statue of Christ.
